ABSTRACT

Cenextra is a digital therapy device that reduces ADHD symptoms by improving working memory function. Developed and patented at FSU with NIH support, Cenextra was awarded the first-ever Breakthrough Device Designation from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) for an ADHD treatment. Redevelopment of Cenextra 2.0 on a more robust platform (Unity), improve and refine the user experience, and add a mobile application for parents and clinicians to manage their patients and monitor performance. This project involves user research, game development, platform development (web+mobile app), UX research for platform customization, and implementation of that customization. This includes multiple rounds of user UX/UI testing, consulting with established experts in commercialization of digital therapeutics, and establishment of additional quality control benchmarks to support additional regulatory filings. The resultant Cenextra 2.0 platform will be a commercial-grade MVP ready for consumer use.
