The proposed project will develop a software toolkit that automates the extraction of engineering requirements from documents-based technical standards, such as military and industry standards, transforming them into structured, machine-readable repositories for inclusion in MBSE system models. This innovation directly addresses a long-standing challenge in engineering, the time-consuming, error-prone, and manual process of extracting requirements from documents and into modeling environments. The final deliverable will be a production ready tool that generates ready-to-import requirements models, improving compliance, traceability, and adoption of MBSE practices.
