ABSTRACT
There’s a global shortage of donor livers, with high discard rates due to reliance on single tissue biopsies. We propose developing the Liver Viability Evaluation System (LVES) to non-invasively scan whole livers in real-time, reducing uncertainties in current evaluation methods. LVES aims to increase available donor livers and decrease transplant failures by providing comprehensive liver health data.
