University of Delaware research scientist Sagar Doshi is pushing the boundaries of wearable technology with novel fabric-embedded sensors that deliver precise data on human movement with transformative potential for physical therapy, athletic performance and even infrastructure monitoring. Supported by pilot funding from the UD NSF Accelerating Research Translation program (NSF ART 2331440), Doshi’s work bridges fundamental research and real-world application, helping clinicians and trainers make data-driven decisions that improve rehabilitation outcomes and quality of life for patients. As an Innovation Ambassador, he is actively sharing his journey and the resources of UD’s innovation ecosystem to inspire and guide fellow researchers toward impactful translational discoveries.
