Clemson University was recently recognized by the National Science Foundation (NSF) as the most active research institution in South Carolina.

Total research and development expenditures reached an all-time high at $339 million in 2024, the highest expenditure across all South Carolina universities according to the most recent NSF Higher Education Research and Development Survey. While the numbers are impressive, the impact that this research is having on the community is the real achievement. From reducing hospital admissions to helping manage diabetes and crop cultivation, Clemson research is essential to South Carolina’s livelihood. 🚀🚀🚀
