ABSTRACT

Healthcare domain lacks objective data in measuring wounds accuratley and consistently. We developed a system to scan skin abnormalities (which includes wounds), to consistently measure, and to track the measurements. The system is semi-automated, can keep track of the measures by patient and by provider over time, can predict healing, and visualize wounds and measurements in 3D. We evaluated the system with healthcare providers showing higher accuracy, consistency of measures, and acceptance.
