Who We Are

ART or Accelerating Research Translation is a National Science Foundation program dedicated building capacity and infrastructure for translational research at U.S. Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs) and to enhance their role in regional innovation ecosystems.

The ART Network is a collaborative community of institutions funded through the Accelerating Research Translation (ART) program by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and its Directorate for Technology, Innovation, and Partnerships (TIP). As the first initiative of its kind, the ART Network unites leading institutions that have received ART grants to support translational research, with a shared mission of advancing innovation and delivering research-driven solutions to society’s most pressing challenges.

We are a diverse and dynamic group of awardees from universities, research institutes, and colleges across the United States, each committed to accelerating the journey from academic research to impactful applications. The ART Network embodies a wide array of disciplines, expertise, and regional perspectives, creating a unique environment for collaboration and shared learning. As part of the NSF’s commitment to bolstering the nation’s innovation ecosystem, our members are pioneers in transforming groundbreaking research into technologies, practices, and policies that address real-world needs.
